Not received PU after Renewing Subscription

Have all the UK subscribers received their Autumn Issue of the Pentax magazine?
I had a letter at the start of July reminding me my subscription ended on July 31, I renewed it immediately on line (my profile now shows the subscription now ends 31/7/2011) but I still haven’t received the Autumn Issue.

I’m looking forward to reading about the 645D so I hope I don’t miss this issue.

I would contact PentaxDan. He is very helpful in all things regarding delivery of the magazine. Send him a PM.

Thanks to PentaxDan for sending another copy - it arrived today. And thanks to Gwyn for the advice.

Seems like ages since I had one. When did the last one come out?

That’s a shame; I still enjoy reading ‘real’ books/magazines more than PDFs and web pages.

Fairly typical of my luck though, I only renewed my subscription at the start of July.

I do too, but sadly, the PU mag never really hit the spot for me. The reviews were never in-depth enough for me, and the technique articles all seemed similarly lightweight.

I liked JR's historical articles, but IMO there was never enough meat to keep the attention of the enthusiasts at whom it was (or should have been) aimed. A quarterly publication needs to be packed full of stuff that keeps you going till the next one, and sadly it never seemed to be.

RIP PU Mag, but I don't think I'll be lamenting its passing.

you'd think they'd have told us here too.
What about those of us with subscriptions into next year? Do we get a refund?? I still have a full year of European subscription to run.

Edit: I see they will contact us by post. I will lose money on it no doubt though as I'll have to bear the bank costs .

This raises the point - I seem to remember a post a few months ago that explained that PU Subscribers had preferential treatment for the number of pics they could upload to the Fourm in a day??? (Or was I sleepwalking) If PU no longer then what happens to that 'rule'

Yes it is a shame and I for one will miss the magazine. I have been a subscriber for a very, very long time.

As noted by Gwyn and ISO there will be some issues to iron out, but I'm sure all will unfold in due course. In any event, we have one final issue to look forward to!
Best regards, John

Just had the e-mail newsletter announcing this .
A sad day.

I've just had a look and the oldest issue on my shelf is July/August 1981. Since Peter Bargh took over though there was IMHO a huge leap in quality of both content and design.

It looks like my PU copies will have to sit alongside my other favourite - the Jack Schofield edited issues of Photo Technique.
Best regards, John
