I really like the bark image, it just stands out and has interest for me. If you are using Photoshop here are a few processing things you could try, Under the filters menu go to Sharpen and experiment with the various methods of sharpening, but don't over do it. Under the image menu use curves to give images or punch. If you are in to processing, take a look at Nik effects software, you can download trials that run for 30 days, lots of plugins to explore and play around with which may interest you and give your images a different creative edge. Anyway enjoy photography keep shooting and posting.

I, too, really like 'bark'. The sloping horizon in the first image is a little annoying, to me anyway.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Karl, is that a small shack I can see in the background of 'Radio Mast'?
Without knowing the area i'm likened to think about combining the foregrounds skeletal tree and shack in a 'portrait' or 1:1 cropped view of the scene without the mast, and waiting for some moody and dramatic lighting and clouds. Maybe this is possible for an image, eh?
'A Forrest' would maybe work as a banner for an upcoming record, no?

I've tried a few things to make them interesting, mainly re-cropping and altering colour saturation and I'd love to hear your comments if you think they work or not. cheers!
