Looks like the DA 16-45mm has delivered some nice results for you, great clarity.
Did you find the the 16mm end wide enough for you in the end for your trip, know you were considering wider at one point?

The lens is very sharp
Just unfortunate that i don't like the grainy effects produced by the KP at high ISO so most of my library/cathedral shots have been discarded.
I did however get plenty of keepers so more to come soon

I don't like to be above ISO 800 because of digital noise/grain. Often times it can be smoothed out with noise reduction software, but still that can have an unnatural appearance. Not that I shoot dark environment often, I'd prefer to go for the long exposure and ISO 100/200, but I know carrying around a tripod is a pain (especially when you're just on your travels), most of the time I go for a pocket-able mini tripod and hope there's a suitable location to sit it on... or give up on the shot all together.

Truth be told, I was underwhelmed/disappointed with both the library and the cathedral so didn't actually take that many images.

Amazing installation and nice shots of it. I think the bright sky got the better of the last one however. Had the exposure been dialed up a few EV it would have given you a longer open shutter time.

I thought the KP had the accelerator (?) chip to help with high ISO shots/noise?
I'm still using the original K-3 and cap iso at 3200 on that, and ideally shoot below 1600. I know can be different between people but I'd hoped the KP would be much better than that.
Noise reduction on the very latest lightroom is really good now, and you can dial it up or down to suit - avoiding the fake aspect you mention when overdone. It's so capable these days I think higher ISO performance, once the standard go to feature of each new model release, is not as important any more.

But not in my experience with it
Maybe it is me
But I also choose not to PP 9% of the time other than cropping/straightening
