Nonsuch Palace Gardens

Not a great deal remaining here from its grandness of the past, but the garden at Nonsuch House and the massive parklands surrounding it are still a draw and escape to the 'countryside' from the suburbia around the Sutton and Epsom borders. The garden provides a beautiful haven with its formal plots and ramshackle woods.

Here's a few recent photos taken one morning with the K7 and Tamron AF70-300 f4.5-5.6 Di LD .....

Lovely sharp images -- with all the bright yellows perfectly exposed. I shall be commenting on that very point in judging the Monthly competition in the morning. As you can see, it's bed time now!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I've belatedly seen these. Thank you for posting them. My beautiful wife passed away in January and I scattered her ashes in Nonsuch Park so it's an incredibly special place for me.

A special place indeed .... its a beautiful peaceful place, perfect for reflection and memories of great times. We have visited here for many years and introduced each new child to it (and the ice creams at the cafe!) and it holds special memories of each of them as they grow. I'm glad you saw the photos .... keep an eye out as I will be trying to get more including wider and longer views in the next few weeks.
