I would like to get the K10D (or the 'upgrade') and the 16-50

I sold a camera today. It was a concession to the GF that if I sold a camera I could buy a K10D and survive. She's a Canon user, who believes in the TINA principle, 'there is no alternative', and thinks I should ditch Pentax for the dark side, Canon (bit like going from Saab to BMW)....

The K10D has really only been out since December. That is only over four months ago. It is a new camera...

just be careful not to show up her Canon too much when you get your new K10D, it might cause other problems

The K10D might have only hit the shelves in December, it was announced in September, but the camera itself when it had no name was previewed at shows last February.....

..........and the k10 has only been on dealers shelves for the last 6 weeks here in the UK. In fact, supplies are still a bit sketchy.

They were 'prereviews' of pre-production models....the real McCoy is only being reviewed now.....
