Nissin? Metz?

Hello Folks,

I am contemplating robbing the piggy bank to get me a flash unit.
Anyone here have any experience of BOTH Metz AND Nissin?
I have been told that these two are about the best makes.
I dont want to buy a flash unit only to find that in a couple of months down the line I should have spent an extra few quid and got me a PROPER one

I use the Metz 40mz2, nothing fancy but great for manual or auto.I have two old Nissins as well.
