I have recently attempted for the first time, and just now with a stack of 10 of the moon, but it results in completely blown highlights. Back to the drawing board I'm afraid. It looks as though it did a Composite of them all and increased exposure, I have read on various sites saying that stacking does this and also sites saying the opposite?
I also took some shots just this evening pointing at Orion and will later (tommoz) have a look at stacking them in the forlorn hope of a nebula result! lol.

Does your stacking software have 'help' that tells you what it does and how it does it?
