I've only used the standard Pentax battery in my K30 so far but the low discharge NiMh AA batteries (variously called hybrid or Eneloop or pre-charged) are so good these days that I'm pretty sure they'll be completely satisfactory.I can see old posts on the subject of Ni - Zn batteries but is there an up to date view?

What is it you wanted to know? If it's just whether they work I can charge a few up and check for you.
