New Years Eve 2016

As usual, I intend to be on the coast tomorrow to see the last daylight of the year.

The last two years were at Whitby up at the abbey as it gives a clear view of the sunset across the moors. Tomorrow will also be at Whitby even though cloud is forecast. Sunset is at 15:47. Hopefully, Mrs K10D will feel well enough to go. It's all over by 16:30 then it's back home for the remainder of the year.

I hope you get your sunset and Mrs K10D feels up to the trip.

If it is clear, and you have some binoculars there is a comet visible near the moon. Also lots of planets lined up close by.

I shall be hiding from fireworks all day and all night. I have my earplugs ready.

I wish you have a good 2017, and I wish Mrs K10D better health in the New Year.

A happy, healthy and photographically fantastic New Year to all members.

Whitby was packed! We struggled to find a parking space.

Broken cloud and rich colours filled the sky. Quite a large number of people up at St Hilda's.

Took plenty of shots, no split ND filters with me so also opted for five shot HDR sequences.

I like them all, especially the first and third.
I am glad Mrs K10D was up to the trip.

No sun to be seen here, just fireworks all day and night. Another couple of hours and it will be bedlam here.

All comments appreciated.

Forgot to take the binoculars! Left them on the table so no comet spotting.

We will be seeing in the New Year with Jools Holland on BBC 2.

Happy New Year to all with just under three UK hours left and less than two for Europe.

Very Best Regards and Wishes.

As I did not get to the coast last NYE, I will be at Whitby on Friday. Sunset is given as 15:46.

Forecast is for cloud at Whitby, no matter.

Winds from the South West at 18mph, no matter.

Seeing other people out and about, does matter.

Getting back to a habit that I hold dear, does matter.

Wishing all who have anything vaguely similar going on, the very best.
