Hi there, my name is Tom Heap and i am new to Pentax having bought a second hand Pentax K-X, so this will be a new experience for me having had cameras from Nikon in the past. So any help , tips etc would be greatly appreciated.

Are you new to digital photgraphy? If so, the following might be useful:

First tip. Place all settings to medium, and make any necessary adjustments on your computer afterwards (this is called post-processing, or PP).

Second tip. If you are on a budget, the GIMP is a free and very powerful PP program.

Third tip. Download Irfanview and Faststone. These are excellent free viewers which will allow simple editing too.
