Hi all,

Nice to be around people that like to shoot with the beautiful Pentax camera's. Well, to be honest, I'm not much of a photographer (maybe 10 rolls of film a year), but I enjoy looking at beautiful pictures of others too.

I'm still film only, with a Pentax MZ-S (plus 31 mm) and a Pentax 67II (plus 45 mm and 105 mm). I have used the big beast only a few times, because I'm terrible at developing 120 film (35 mm is not difficult for me). Sometimes I think about selling the 67II kit, but it's such a beautiful camera with the wooden grip.

Have a nice day!

Welcome to the forums! It would be nice to see some of these photos you've taken with that BIG camera.

What a nice welcome of you all! Thank you Tom, David, Stuey and Opethian.

And Opethian, I only shot two rolls of C41 film to test the camera. Of course it worked perfectly. And then I ruined two Tri-X rolls when I tried to develop them. I used the ruined rolls to train the skills of loading, but somehow I've no talent for it. Luckily, 35 mm is no problem. That's why I grab the MZ-S all the time. It's a shame, I know.

Reality check: I can't afford to keep a camera that I don't use. So, big decision: I'm selling my lovely Pentax 67II with 45 mm and 105 mm. No more fondling, I am going to buy more (limited) lenses for the MZ-S that I always take with me.

Hello Kees,
You're making me feel guilty - I really must go out and buy some more film. I always find I take more care with my photography when I know I'm paying for each shutter release! We have it too easy these days!
Better equipment enhances my ability to display my shortcomings.
