Hi all, great site here glad i stumbled across it.
I'm looking to possibly become a full time photographer shooting portraits and weddings, wether or not it comes off i'll have to see but for now i have the day job

I started off with a K-M and soon started to realise that a: i needed 2 cameras and b: i needed to upgrade (said that i have some really good shots from the k-m). So after lots of trolling through reviews it was a toss up between the k-x and the k-7. i ended up with the k-x as i gather its got a better sensor and much better low light capabilities, i'd of been gutted spending the extra on the k-7 to find in a few months time out pops a new one, so i'll see whats about in a years time now.

As for lenses i have the 2 kit lenses, 18-55 and 50-200, a 70-300 tamron and a pentax-a 50mm 1.7 prime.

Getting on great with pentax and hope the expense pays in the end.
Any opinions, criticism's compliments etc on any of my photos are greatly appretiated.

Thanks ian.

Hi Ian,

Welcome I recently bought a K-x, the 18-55 and 55-300mm kit lenses and a few lenses picked up from Ebay. I've not had time to get to grips with it yet, but have time off work soon.

I looked at your flickr account and am impressed.

Welcome. Have fun and learn lots as I have then. You've "stumbled" very well. This site is wonderful

Pentax people are the nicest people!

Best wishes,

Andrew

P.S. Don't stress about having the latest camera and lenses. Some of the finest photographs here have been taken on early Pentax DSLRs with thity year old lenses attached. The best accessories you have are your imagination, legs, eyes and right finger, if you know what I mean.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Welcome to the forum Ian!
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.
