New Pro Centre Shop in Folkestone

Hi all just to say I discovered at the end of last week the Seymour Harrison shop in Guildhall Street, Folkestone is now a certified Pentax Pro Centre. I went along today and by luck the Rep was there all day. It is pretty well stocked including the 645Z and if you want to buy kit that they do not have they can get it in in 4-5 days from Germany. It is really handy to have one that is not in London area and can feed all of Kent. Needless to say I came away with the DA 50mm f1.8 at very good price. They are very friendly and worth knowing about now. Graeme

Good to know. But one centre hardly constitutes a renaissance.

When I was first on the lookout for a Pentax (K20) there was no stockist at all in SE Kent -in fact none AFAICR anywhere east of the Medway, ie: proper Kent . I spoke to Seymour Harrisons and they told me that there was no point in stocking Pentax due to lack of demand and extremely poor backup from Pentax themselves. For the 645Z to have made it to Folkestone is great news from my perspective as Folkestone is where I grew up. I will try and pop in there after New Year as I shall be down that way.
