Nothing wrong with cute photos .

Pandas are actually incredibly boring animals once they are adults - there's nothing they like more than sitting contemplating their navels - it is very hard to get a good photo of them. I tried many years ago here in Holland and failed miserably. I'd still like to give it a go again though, preferably in Chengdu .

Cutest things on the planet next to Koala bears, should certainly drag the crowd's in there.

Hmm, let me see. They repress millions and murder lots and then they send us a couple of pandas and everything is hunky dory.

I think not.

In fairness, the history of the British Empire isn't squeaky clean! Think we should stay off politics and concentrate on cute animals!

Actually Oggy the zoo has to pay them for the loan of the pandas, and any offspring produced go back to China.

All part of panda diplomacy. Remember Chia Chia and Ching Ching - Ted heaths expensive pair of pandas?

Only here could a nice innocent happy piece of news about a potentially interesting photography subject turn into a bah humbug, politically edged topic .

Please return to pandas and not politics. I'm sure there's a nice political forum somewhere for all that stuff!
Best regards, John

Well... Really!. Disgraceful behaviour! - Ban them, John... Ban them all!
No man is worth his salt, who has not been banned from at least one Forum, and two Flickr groups.
