As others on other forums have pointed out, it has a slight feel of the Auto 110 SLR about it

Trying to manually focus with an electronic viewfinder would be hopeless though

Ditto.

With the right spec could be a little stunner.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

Looks like the same lens as the Optio W80, so will probably use the same sensor as well. The P70 I had used that sensor and at base ISO's it was pretty decent for a P&S, even at ISO 400 it was still quite usable.

It will be interesting to see if it actually has a EVF rather than just a styling hump to make it look like the old 110, if it's usable it would be a nice feature rather than having to buy an add on EVF like the Ricoh GR/GX series. I must admit that I prefer an eye level finder to an LCD screen as I find holding a camera at arms length very awkward.

Another aspect is the SR implementation. I just hope they have fitted sensor SR rather than the very slow Pixel Track (software) SR.

Not long to wait to PMA to see what transpires. It does look quite intriguing.
Best regards

The pixel track SR does work, but it is slow.

I'm more interested in the sensor size - if the equivalent wide FL is 28mm then the sensor's going to be a 1/2.33" like in the W80. If, however, the equivalent is 24mm (getting more common) then that 5.1mm lens means there's a 1/1.63" sensor sat behind it like the one on the Panasonic LX3. Now *that* would be a big step in the right direction!

I just want to have a good look at the I-10 from all angles!

How big is it? Will it fit in a pocket? Has it got a view finder?

Role on the official press release!
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

You read my mind.

Pentax 'version' of an LX3 is what I'm hoping for in that I-10.

I didn't have a problem with the X70, I used the back screen most of the time anyway

Full specs here:

No EVF, pity, just a standard LCD, but it has sensor SR and a reasonable spec for a P&S.
Best regards

I like the look of that I-10 and in this instance I think the white one looks very appealing.
Best regards, John
