A new toy to play with and boy what a toy it is not! This is one of the best flashes I have ever used.

HSS works perfectly, metering it quite good, although needs a +1 flash compensation dialled in for bounce in some circumstances.

Wireless mode is ok but is very limited doe to the short range and low power of the built in flash. I am sure the range with two good flashes would be much better.

I don't have a lot of time at the moment to play with it so I'll have to come back with an update at the weekend.

Got any update yet Tyr?!

Interested in either this or the Pentax 540, not sure which one to go for!

Sorry, been busy at work. By the time I get home I am shattered and it being nearly winter here there isn't much to shoot. Also been looking after my OH as she was ill for two weeks!

I am hoping to get out and do some shooting this weekend with all the new toys. DA*16-50 will be rather permanently attached to my camera for some time.

The Metz flash is everything I wanted and I can't really fault it in short amount of time I've used it.

My OH did get a chance to play with my flash and our chinchilla and here are a couple of shots:

K10D+18-55 and Metz 58 with 60 degree tilt for bounce flash.

Sorry about the small size...

I got it from SRS Microsystems in Watford, London, UK. I wouldn't have a clue as to where to get one in Australia. Last (and only) time I was there was in 1996 and I wouldn't have been paying much attention at camera shops .

Secondly, I'm not married
