I have recently joined the golfing set. I started in April or May this year and have taken my camera with me so best of both hobbies.

combine the three...

glue peanuts onto golf tees, get to the driving range, then post us a photo of flying squirrels.... try for 250 yards...
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I used to play until the break up of my first marriage, she cleared the house out one day when I was at work and my clubs went! Never played again

I used to be a fanatical golfer, played all over the UK, NIgeria, HK, Thailand, China. But because of photography (something my wife can at least participate in a little - though she's not a tog) it's almost gone, selling over all my clubs bar one set for the occasional chance I get to play a round. It is a rather selfish sport in terms of both time and cost (to your relationships as well as pocket) !

Golf always seemed a complicated way to take a walk. But enjoy it anyway. Do you paint your balls black for playing in the snow

Oh you philistines - if only you could hold a club, you would know what it's like to hit the ball crisply and see it soar into the sky before landing perfectly on the green and stopping dead for you to walk up to it and tap it for a birdie!
