New firmware for K-7

Apparently, there is a new silent firmware for the K-7:

Previous firmware is v1.02.00.14 (MD5 4d287f4588cae9bbd14df144407e143d)

New firmware is v1.02.00.16 (MD5 is 0e397e6c1b444b779e6a2c76396eaa86)

Upgrades unknown.

If I need to take a guess it's probably the banding issue with high iso, the other minor updates were also for that.

If you don't have problems then don't update is probably the advice for these minor updates.

How do you know what the other minor updates were for? Roumer? Pentax don't say what they're for.

The latest update is the same size as the previous one, so I expect any change to be miniscule and probably unnoticeable.

Someone noticed on Pentaxforums it would seem.
Apparently there was a graphic in the menu that was the wrong way round which has been corrected

Yes there was something about it on the pentaxforums about the previous updates and it was some minor tweaks for the banding problem that should have been solved with the 1.02 version.

I believe there was even something about this here on this forum.

Mike seems to have real answer though, that they didn't notice that earlier.

There is a thread on the other forum (dpr) in which Peter Fang suggests that this latest firmware has corrected a bug that caused degradation of images by SR when used at higher shutter speeds.
