New Camera Choice

I must say I could never see the logic of selling a K5 then considering buying a K30. The performance between the two may not be massive if buying from scratch so the cheaper K30 could be viable but to sell the more expensive one at a loss and then buy a new slightly lower range one....?
I think you have made the right final decision though!

As I recall in my original post I was asking for opinions on the K30 as I had heard and read good things about it. I think I was being open minded about my options at the time, though after some investigation, I quickly determined that the K30 wasn't for me.

And yes, I agree with you that I made the right decision ultimately, as for my needs the K3 is camera nirvana!

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!
