New backpack suggestions needed

Back to having 2 bodies as the K5 arrived yesterday, so the K-r now becomes the back-up. I want to spend less time swapping lenses than I have in the last few months - not least of which because I have had serious dust problems with the K-r and one replacement focus screen is enough to teach me a lesson!

I suspect I will generally have the Sigma 120-400 attached to one and the 10-20 to the other and be carying a couple of primes or short zooms.

Any suggestions for a backpack that does not weigh or cost as much as a small family car that could take the above?

This might be big enough. I have one and use it a lot. Not too big, not too expensive, not too heavy and carry-on legal (just!).
I don't have two bodies, but it swallows everything I have just about, including the netbook, and I can still lift it .

Thanks Gwyn - will check the sizes - I used to have the smaller Expedition 4 which was a niice bag but I exchamged it for a Lowepro Vertex 100 which will not take the 120-400 with a body attached

I wanted a large backpack to take two bodies and lots of lenses but the usual suspects (LowePro, Tamrac etc. etc.) are quite expensive (ca. GBP 150 - 200). However online I found numerous Chinese alternatives and finally bought one last week - stupid name but for GBP35 it's damn amazing and has more bits/bobs etc. than any of the big manufacturers backpacks and has the bonus of not being a name thieves would recognise as a camera bag.

As for quality - looks every bit as good as the three LowePro bags I have already, good zips and seals (it's not waterproof but then neither is the competition), nicely padded (maybe just a tiny tad less than the LowePros) and more than fit for purpose.

EBay is your friend

I'm a big fan of the Lowepro Vertex 200 but it might be more than you need. I find that there is not a 'one size fits all' solution and find it better to have a few packs and change between them as required.

Hi - I am the same - currently have 4 bags - but none of them will take the K5 with the 120-400 attached comfortably - so if I am going to have to get another - thought it may be worth trying to find one that may take 2 bodies with lenses attached.

I do but it's on a Chinese shopping site so no good to you I'm afraid. I'm sure you can find them using the Search (or advanced search) function on EBay. Good luck !

Can anyone recommend one that takes two cameras, four lens (in total) and a 15.6inch laptop that I can carry onto a plane?

Not a backpack but I think this would . Depends on the lenses of course, but I have had the K-5, Bigma, 60-250, 17-70, Tamron 90mm macro and the 18-135 in it, plus a flash.

I'm looking personally at a ProRunner 450, as that should take the (deep breath) 100-300, k5, 24-70, 135, 28, 50, two flashes, 15" laptop, k10, spares and still have some space left over. The 650AW does it already and is frequently accepted as hand luggage, too.
