New 24mm prime

Quick wide-open test shot from the Tokina 24mm f2.8 I picked up via the classifieds here. I guess it could be sharper, but I'm still rather pleased with it. The wide open performance seems decent (and very consistent across the frame) although I think I missed focus on the eye a bit here, and it sharpens up very well by f4. It's a bit of a tossup between this and my also recently acquired Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 CF.

I'd like to see another shot but looks like agood lens to me. I've a Hoya 24mm which is fun to use, but it's M42 so I have to work hard to take a picture (like the old days, really.)

Enjoy using it and post some more shots!

Andrew

Aren't we lucky to be able to use these older lenses at a fraction of the cost of a new cheapo zoom, let alone a new prime. Looks like a very decent lens.
