The sharpness is certainly there! I'd be inclined to tone down the exposure a bit as it looks a tad bright and maybe turn it around so it's portrait orientation

Maybe slow progress Do but you have certainly fettled the light/exposure on this shot. The detail on the wasp is as good as you'll get for a shot like this.

When you see a nest that's been fully made and 'in use' you must have to wonder how long it took to build it! Going off this little fellas speed, I'm guessing a while!

You learn so much from watching this sort of thing unfold. I hated it when I finally had to turf out the one that was building in my workshop (the second one failed to reappear one day). Looking at the depth of the cells in this particular case, you can see why the eggs are laid first of all ! These are great and I hope there is to be a series of them? Is she building it in the orientation shown?

Thanks all,yes this is the orientation,the wasp is building in the galvanized door of the meter box if you wonder about the background.
