need to borrow rent a 400mm fast lens

I have just found out I have been assigned to cover this weekends radio 1 big weekend in Carlisle. I have been told I will need a long lens to shoot lady GaGa & the Foo fighters.

Could some kind soul please lend / rent me a 400mm f4 plus lens. Can be manual focus beggars can't be choosers.

Preferably in the north of England so I can collect on my way to Carlisle on Saturday & drop off Sunday evening.

I know its a big ask and understand if no one wants to lend out one of their babies.

All they list is the 300mm f/4 Enoch I don't think will be long enough but is always an option but I am running out of time...

Not want you want, but you could rent a Nikon/Canon camera and lens?

Any chance you can buy one second hand and sell it on?

My longest lens is the 50-135mm I don't really have any experience of Nikon equipment & dont really want to be learning new equipment on the job.

Have just had a call from the beeb & they think it will be just GaGa & I will be allowed to shoot from crowd so may not be such a panic now....

I knew I would regret selling my TC I was planning to get a 1.4x TC.... typical eh...
