A simple rule of thumb, TC's wil only fit on F2.8 and faster lenses. You get cheapie TC's but it is a pointless waste of money. You loose AF, speed and optical quality.. better to crop the image!
2x K10D bodies, 2x FA 28-200 3.8-5.6, DA 18-55, A 50 F2, 50mm Macro, 360 FGZ. Still saving for the 60-250 DA* Also have a Z10 35mm and a K1000 just for fun. IF PENTAX IS THE ANSWER, WHO CARES WHAT THE QUESTION IS...!

Why not buy the Pentax 2X-S converter :
N.B must be the S version not the L version.

I was in Camera World in London looking idly at teleconverters a little while back and the chap in there mentioned that the sigma teleconverters were effectively 'bespoke' to the sigma lenses... I was surprised, but it seems to be (more or less) correct on the basis of your experience I was then (surprisingly) gifted a Kenko Teleplus MC7 DG 2x teleconverter over christmas although have yet to properly put it through it's paces... it retains autofocus with lenses which are screw driven from the camera but SDM/HSM lenses are manual focus only - and of course it costs a couple of stops...

I just got off the phone to the company that I got it from and they have recommended me another 2x convertor.

Kenko Teleplus MC-7 DG 2x AF Teleconverter for Pentax
Anyone used this before? What's it like? I'm guessing it's still automatic.
