I have never been to the NEC Camera Show and i would go "IF" i could get a deal on a K-3ii (body only). So whats the realistic chances of walking away with one a few quid cheaper? Otherwise i'm hoping for an Easter deal.
Thanks in advance,

Stephen.

My experience of the Camera shows is that they do some quite good deals but usually only on the latest equipment - a model that's been around for a while has probably been discounted to a low level anyway.

Having said that - there will probably be a couple of Camera shops and/or chains with stands, these are more likely to have deals. Might be worth checking the exhibitors list to see whether it's worth taking a trip! Last one I went to there was a couple of very busy stands selling a good range of equipment - might have been "CameraWorld"? and LCE sometimes have a presence

Try SRS before you go, chances are you'll get a decent deal, plus I would guess quite a few have been traded in for the K1, so you might get a deal on a used boxed version.

K3ii in srs 699. With full warranty and back up. Not really worth the risk for 24 saving on eBay.

Thank you Reso, i had seen that one on eBay midweek. I messaged them this morning and have bought it for 600. So i am now officially a Pentaxian 😬. Mission now is to find a 55-300 PLM lens cheap. That will be my walk about lens, and later on a 300mm f/4 will be my mach loop lens.

In answer to your original question, I don't recall any special prices on Pentax gear at previous NEC Photography shows, the stand tends to be a shop window for products where you can handle the goods and ask questions. As I recall any offers tend to be on accessories or special editions. Also bear in mind the cost of entry plus parking, unless you want to have a serious look around or attend a presentation then save your money and look for a K3II bargain elsewhere. Having said that I do enjoy it and often come across things I wasn't aware of and there are bargains to be had elsewhere. Previously I have come away with special deals on a magazine subscription, gear insurance, and a Gitzo monopod as well as being tempted by much else. And of course last year a large glossy brochure on the just-launched K1!
