Ha! Steve and I also attended yesterday and both commented on that!! Plus the long lens crew who then added a speedlite to the walkabout set up!!

Did you go to the 2pm product display of the K1?

It's a wonderful camera! So want one now! Plus all the other new lenses! The 15-30mm is a monster!

On an even better note, the Pentax Ricoh stand was pretty much bang on the centre of the show and probably the biggest, of not then one of the biggest stands there!

So much interest in the brand and new products, it was great to see

Hi Gareth yes i did head for pentax stand the K1 was smaller then i thought it would be, i also had a look at the 645 what a weight that was. There was not a great reduction on the lenses this year, but was there for eight hours and enjoyed the day, is it the pentax 15-30mm your raving about

I also thought the K-1 was smaller and lighter than the magazine reports had led to believe. For a full frame camera pretty much perfect. Very nice to hold. Would have liked the top-plate LCD to have been a bit bigger, but only nit picking really as I don't know how they could have done it.

Also looked at the 645. Yes it is quite heavy, but very comfortable to hold, and as for its viewfinder.... wow. Like looking at a cinema screen..!!

I have just come back from the TPS, loved the K-1, I was impressed with the K-1's noise (or lack of) at ISO 128000. I feel a dent in the bank balance coming.

Also got a Ricoh/K-1 T-shirt

Even with the auto focus their was no noise at all, the lcd screen pulls out on little rods and adjusts to where you want it, but thinking if dropped the screen would be a gonna for sure

Don't watch this if you are of a sensitive disposition!

For info, I tried my 70 and 40mm Limiteds on the k-1 at the show and didn't notice any vignetting. However, that was just on the LCD screen of course.

Steve tried his 40mm and it did vignette but it was subtle and nice. The 16-50mm at 16mm was a different matter!

We also bagged free Pentax Polo tops!

Not enough CaNikon stuff for that
(None, in fact )
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Drool!! They were beasts! Love the idea of having separate buttons around the lens barrel to activate the A/F. That's a neat idea
