Great shot! Lovely shade of green, and the detail is incredible (especially around the cockpit!).

Thanks. I happened to look round and see it coming round the corner so switched the setting to P, dialled in 1/250 for (hopefully) a bit of prop blur and took the shot. As I looked back round everyone was just watching it fly past open mouthed .. including some chap with the biggest white lens I have ever seen
As I said, the powerboats were a total waste of time but there were a few other nice ones on the sea.

Mike, you are one heck of a lucky guy, being able to probably be the only guy capturing the flying plane, and on top of it all you did it with your bigma handheld. You make these shots look so easy to take but we all know the skill involved so hats off to you.
If you can do this with the limitations of the K10 I can only imagine what you could come up with a K7 in your hands. Hmm hang on, I think with your ability it wouldn't matter what you are shooting with, be it a a cranky old K10, K7 or even a D** or C***N you will always come up with shots like this

As it was this turned out to be the catch of my day as all the boats were on the far side of the water and even with 500mm on a crop sensor I couldn't really make them out.
The chap in front is actually taking photos of everyone on the rocks.
