MZ50 lens compatibility problems
Its my first manual lens so i took some pictures
first i set it to shutter priority mode "TV" and took some samples then to apature priority mode "AV" with the apature ring on the camera set to AE
all the pictures are in the correct focus and exposure,
the problem with the lens it that you do not get any of the "f-stop" setting displayed?? i think this is apeture isnt it?
Overall i am very pleased as I have only had the camrea & lens for 2 days
if i am talking gibberish please let me know as I am very new to this
Thanks for replies.

Sorry my first post is for help
I have a pentax MZ50 with the standard 35/80 af lens
I reciently purchaed and a second hand Tamron 1:4.5 f85 -210 zoom marco lens
from my research i understand that as long as the lens has an A in the apature settings it should be ok
This lens is confusing it has an AE setting in the apature, there is also a notched slide option with a green A and a Red M which seems to alter the brightness of the lens like a filter, on the mount is states it is a Tamron adaptall for pentax K.M
from what i undertand it should work as it has an A in the apeture setting but if i set the camera to M (metered manual mode) the bar graph in the viewfinder blinks, the MZ50 manual states this only happens when a lens without the A position is fitted!!
the focus warning beep works ok but thats about it
I really dont know if this lens will work or not?
any help advice would be really appriciated?
I.E would it be better to buy a me super or super A to get a proper K/Ka mount body for future compatibilty with lenses
thanks
Will
