Is St Leonard de Noblat in Central France. I had a wander round looking for details that caught my attention. Here are a few. C&C appreciated. Some keystoning to sort out when I know how. K20D and 16-45:

Great shots! I like no 2 a lot, and the reflections in the last shot make an interesting image.

+1 lovely images. Last one especially, the children reflected in the glass, excellent.
Lurking is shirking.!

An engaging set of abstracts from your local town that use shapes and textures in an interesting way. I particularly like the boucherie with the reflections of the couple. I wonder if you posed them or were they as seen?

What a great set! I especially like the two cathedral pictures - the first for the concentric curves and the second for the light beam falling across the model. Really good stuff. Like everyone else I also think the Boucherie is a gem as well with the reflected couple.

Cathedral Arch and Boucherie are my favourites, but Blown Render has potential for showing the 'soldiers' (bricks on end) above what must have been a door or window underneath. That one might be worth trying as a mono too?

A good series for mine. There's nothing scruffy about any of these images.

Thanks for all your comments. I'm very much a beginner and I wouldn't have taken pictures like that without the inspiration I've gained from this forum (or put another way, nicking other people's ideas).

You'd think that the brick arch would be above an opening, but it's not -it's only a couple of feet above the pavement.

I was really pleased with the Boucherie shot. It's not posed, I'm not that smart. I wasn't happy with my shooting angle from the set on Staurday so I went back yesterday after shopping. The kids were in tow and just standing next to me. I only noticed the reflection when I loaded the photos to the computer.

A very good reason - lack of skill. I was going to reshoot that one yesterday too, but there was a large white van in the way. So another time.

An enjoyable set! I particularly liked the great tones in the cathedral arch and the reflection in the butcher shot. Nice light on the model cathedral too!

Aha! But it still may have been - perhaps a cellar door opening, or the street level now conceals something long ago buried. That's what archaeology is for! (now where's that Womble...)

Good point - maybe I should sneak along and remove a bit more render to find out.
