Just been on the Ricoh website where you can add your equipment.
Just tried to add my 1.4 convertor, not listed and therefore cannot be added.
Just tried to add my F4 20mm lens, not listed and therefore cannot be added.
So I am asking myself, "What is the point?" If your equipment is lost or stolen there is no official listing to call on.
It only accepts current or recently withdrawn items. Basically it covers the same as the "support" pages ie items from the "digital" era.

Why not lodge a list of valuable items with your house insurance company? Even if you don't they should still be covered depending on the total amount covered for such items.
Is this just a matter of speaking to the insurance company?
All the gear with no idea
Its covered indoors and out and doesn't add much to the total cost. Guess if I started to make regular claims they might get upset but otherwise its money for nothing for them. In the event of a burglary I'd get back the value of the main items. Some of the cheaper things aren't really worth worrying about.
I've recently gone through my collection and logged the serial numbers and what i paid for them (where I still have that info) just in case.
Different companies may well do things differently; just ask, at least when the renewal date comes around.
Worth covering cycles and even laptop PCs too if you have expensive ones. Adding onto the house insurance is usually better value than than taking out specific dedicated policies.
If you happen to upgrade a lens, unless its a really expensive one (eg the 560mm) you wouldn't have to notify the company as it would be covered up to the overall amount insured.

They are covered by my household insurance but I thought the Ricoh page would be helpful if the unfortunate was to happen.

I use an excel spreadsheet with all the serials and values and store it in a couple of different places.

I already have a log ofthe stuff I have with serials added. Might be worth also having a chat to make sure everything is covered.

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
