I really like the photograph, although I am not sure about "only slight distortion properties" given that the church appears to be suffering from serious subsidence

There has been much discussion on the Sigma 10-20, the Pentax 10-17 and the Pentax 12-24 on the forum recently.

I have just ordered the 10-17 and like John Riley will be disappointed if there is no distortion because that is what I am hoping will lead to some creative possibilities.

Glad to see that the weather is so much better in Cornwall. I took the camera out with me on Boxing Day but never used it

that may not be the fault of the lens...converging verticals can be caused by not having the sensor vertical. in the above image it appears the camera was leaning backward when the shot was taken...
wide angles must be parallel to the subject on both horizontal and verticle planes to minimize distortion.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Yes Don, I was leaning backwards slightly to get it all in!
I have come to the conclusion that 'distortion' is in the eye of the beholder
I am off to a Cornish kilted wedding now with my new lens, hoping the wild and woolly weather will abate!
