MX storage

Hi there.
I was reading a forum on storage and came up with this question regarding the springs inside the camera. What are the precautions related to them, i mean, the shutter speed button, for example, should be at what speed to avoid stressing on the spring, etc.

The shutter of mechanical cameras like the MX should be fired before storgae, and not left tensioned.

Much better to keep the camera in use though!
