MX & ME Super

I am seriously thinking about disposing of my old MX and ME super with 50f1.7 and 30-80 zoom.

Is there a market out there for them? Both still work and are in good and excellent condition. Is this forum te best place to advertise or can anyone suggest somewhere better.

I am also seriously thinking about selling a Pentax 400-600 mirror zoom - but have no idea of the current value and cannot find guidance anywhere. Any thoughts?

MX should fetch between £70 - £120 depending on condition, ME Super I would place at nearer £30 - £60 depending on condition. Non-working cameras would command quite a bit less (I recently bought 4 non-working MX'x for £31 the lot) and mint/boxed/original paperwork examples quite a bit more (I've seen an unused/boxed minty-fresh MX go for nearly £300). Rarities like the MX data back fetch a premium and you can expect to get an extra 10-20% for versions with black (rather than silver) finish.

The 50/1.7 should fetch around £15-20 and I have no clue on the value of the other lenses but I wouldn't imagine you're looking at very high sums to be honest. If it were me I'd keep the 50/1.7 as it's a cracking little lens and works on current bodies.

You could try an advert here on the forum but don't forget to post some pictures of what you're selling so folks can judge condition, etc. If that doesn't work then there's always a market for these on eBay.

Good luck!

pm me, when you decide on a price for the 400-600 mirror, I want one, but not sure if it's financially feasable....
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Thanks for you comments Hefty1. The 50mm f1.7 will go as I also have an A series 50mm f1.4 which I purchased with a Super A - broken winder and not repairable! That will be sold as seen for spares or repair along with an A series winder.

Don - I'll bear you in mind if/when I decide but it will be a hard decision to part with it as it is in perfect condition, with original case and rear filters.

The only real way to get top price for a scarce item like the mirror zoom, is selling on ebay..but it must be worldwide, not just UK...and only you can judge if you want to do this, bearing in mind all the recent anti-seller changes on ebay.
