just a quick tip for those of you using Photoshop or GIMP..
If you are working on an image and have multiple layers open, yet need to switch all but one of them off to view a single layer, rather than clicking the eye symbol individually for each layer to make it invisible; do this..
With Photoshop, hold down the Alt key, whilst clicking on the eye symbol next to the layer you wish to view on it's own.
With GIMP, the same can be done whilst holding the Shift key and clicking the relevant eye symbol.
Clicking the eye again (while holding the appropriate key) will make all the layers visible again. If you have two or more layers visible and want to reopen them all, double click the eye on any visible layer using the same method.
