I paid £45 for a 16mb CF card for my first digicam - a Kodak DCS215 Zoom (one of the first to offer a whole megapixel!). Still have both card and camera

That was dirt cheap!
I paid about £60 for a 512k SRAM Card that fit's in the PCMCIA slot on a Sharp PC-3100 Pocket PC and that was cheap.

I remember buying a 4 megabyte memory upgrade for my Amiga in the early 90s for £129.99 OUCH!!!! Claimed to double the speed of my 4mhz Amiga, woah what a difference that would have made when running graphic FX....

Panasonic cards are usually very good and have always come at a premium. I only use up to 4GB, but wouldn't mind an odd 6GB. 8GB is too much. A used 4GB almost fell out of my bag the other day, bad enough but imagine losing 8GB of photos Something more secure than those little plastic boxes is needed for transporting cards. It's a pity the grip won't hold two.

Oh and I have a special case for all my cards, I think it was freebie from a magazine. All my cards go in there and then it's zipped up in it's own pocket in my bag.
