What an experience to see and photograph that. How cute and very intelligent these creatures are.
In August my wife and I watched a very tiny harvest mouse pop in out from under a hedge and nibble at an apple core. Over about half and hour it gradually moved it about 3 inches and under the hedge only for a blackbird to come along and pull it out into the open. Having said that after the blackbird and chick had had their fill the mouse eventually nudged and pulled the apple core back under the hedge, and totally out of sight. Over a few days we put out apple cores and the mouse came out and gradually it tugged all the apple cores under the hedge. Storing up for winter I have no doubt.

This fellow was my all time favourite. He ruled the heap of rubble where they lived and was always fighting - hence only having half his right ear! How close did the one on the feeder let you approach? It was watching you very carefully.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Sweet! Great captures. #2 really captures this little chap's determination as well as his intelligence. An extremely smiley causing set. Well done.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Nice shots Reso, they are fascinating creatures - so intelligent and determined and that camera and lens combination was my favourite for many years
