Most boring job

I think the most worrying aspect is, when I left school I would say there was employment available for everyone who wanted it. How many of us would like the prospect of being a school leaver now and that is regardless of your level of intelligence.

I get quite dismayed when you ask someone what they do and they say they are 'only' a cleaner/barman/etc.

All jobs require doing and I think anyone who does a job (paid or unpaid) and does it with dedication and professionalism deserves the same respect, regardless of what the job entails.

In fact the weird thing in life is, the less I do the more I get paid!
Their answer may be a sign that they don't find the job very fulfilling.
Some people like undemanding jobs so they can use the time at work to think of other things - some such as barman/chashier for the social interaction it gives them. Others are less capable and might find those roles quite demanding, they probably wouldn't describe their job as only...

I think most of us can also think of jobs where society might be better of if they weren't being done! (I guess the list here will depend on a persons veiwpoint)

Mike, I remember a few years ago on Tyne/Tees TV the uncle of a young man who died in a car crash while fleeing the police said " He was just coming home from work, he's a ram-raider, it's his job" This is not made up.

That does remind me of one of Viz's top tips.

Quote:
I heard that ram raiding was a good way of making money so I smashed into a jewellers and stole £5,000 worth of gold.

Unfortunately the damage to my car cost £6,200 to repair so I was £1,200 down on the deal.
