I fear the same. Do you use a hosting service like Flickr or Photobucket?
If so...,copy the image url(must end with .jpeg or .jpg) and paste it between: the image tags when pressed on the image button beneath the comment box.
Martin.

Not only that, those pictures are marvelous. Each one of them.Hurrah! success...
Number one being my absolute favorite. Well done
edit:
small suggestion:
When posting in portrait format, try to keep the longest side around 800 px also. It makes the viewing experience a bit more pleasing, without the need of scrolling.

Well done!
1) An interesting shape to the rock. I feel this doesn't quite make the best of it and maybe a tweak to the composition and to the tones in the image are needed. The top is rather light for me.
2) Pure texture. Excellent. Shots like this need to be crisp so maybe a tad more sharpening. But the image is just right.
3) This reminds me of a cave painting from prehistoric times...very nice. The area top right would be great if it maintained the texture of the rest of the background. You could do this in Photoshop by cloning or even copying another corner and blending it into the black section.
4) This reminds me of the cactus I knocked off a table and tried to catch before it hit the floor. I was pulling spines out of my hands for what seemed like hours....How about really closing in and just showing a section of the plant with no background, but lots of incredible sharp spikes?
Hope the comments help!

The weekly competition can (in fact must) be entered by uploading directly to the forum.
(same as gallery)
The fortnightly competition needs to be entered from a hosting service like Flickr or Photo bucket. The gallery on PUF allows NO hot linking.
A Flickr account is also available for free, so what's holding you, from entering that one also?
Martin.

I should point out that this is the first time I have tried to add pictures into the forum so apologies if I have failed to successfully post the pictures... In terms of other 'firsts', this was a first proper run-out (for me) with the K-7 (lovely) and also the first time I have actively attempted to produce some black and white images...
This is effectively a rock in a pond, but I tried to bring out the rock's texture in the hope it would contrast with the (ideally smooth) water:
This is tree bark, which I thought I might try and make into a kind-of-abstract shot:
I liked the differences here between the rough tree bark and the smooth wood underneath:
...and these are spikey chestnuts:
