I have been too busy to take anything for a while, but today i managed an hour this morning and another this afternoon.
Usual setup, K3ii + 52mm tubes + ringflash and diffuser, handheld.

The flower ones for me Derek ....(I'm afraid I'm still going to take a lot of convincing to enjoy bug macros!).

No 3 really appeals.... It has everything! Despite having just posted a set of flowers with black backgrounds myself, I know that this approach is not always attractive. Here your one with the lovely soft background works so well, everything (composition, colors, bokeh) supports the flower.

Cheers Nigel, I was lucky that it was quite bright sunshine for 20 mins or so, I had to get an angle that lit the background with sunshine and allowed my flash to light the focus daisy.
Its quite difficult to not end up with a black background when using tubes and macro. If the flash is strong enough to light the background then chances are you've blown the shot.
Black can suit them at times. I'd rather have the black background than no image anyway.

Gosh, the detail in the first fly pic is quite frightening.
