I was in New York last week too! Central Park is one of my favourite places for photographs.
Very nice series, and I especially like the last one. Was that the Apple store down near the SE corner of Central Park?

No 1 is a bit 'busy', and the carriage highlights in No 2 are a tad bright / distracting.
So, 4 and 3 for me - No 4 especially.

I love all of them but if I had to nail it down it would be between number two and four.
I do like the reflections on the top in number one and the shot of Central Park has a lot of going on with the market to the centre left and all the walks leading to it with the skyline in the back and the trees in various states of winter with some green in between and that contrasted with the snow.
Well done.

Definitely another vote for 2! The expression/body language says it all. Though you missed the opportunity to step to the left a little and make him look like a Vegas showgirl.

Never been to NY, one day maybe.
No 2 and 4 grab me instantly. No4 is quite stunning IMO. No1 is good but the reflections sort of distract me away from the street scene.
The Park is a fine vista with the skyscrapers and lovely blue sky providing a good backdrop to the trees, market and people

Thanks for the comments! The Times Square shot is a bit busy, it was the reflections that drew me to the scene, and I had to dodge oncoming pedestrians while waiting to get some people in the shot. I still find street photography a bit of a challenge, especially when being obvious, which is impossible to avoid with the Sigma 18-250!

Yes, Kris, it's the Apple store near Central Park. I was on my way to the huge toy shop next to it (FAO Schwarz) when I spotted the logo with the building behind it. Off topic a bit, but I went to B+H and the K5 there costs more than in the UK when you take into account the cashback offer in the UK. Still not got one......

Nice set Jon, 2 and 4 for me too. I do kind of wish we could see the horse peeking over his shoulder in 2, but I understand the horse might not have felt like it 4 is great, I love this kind of geometric shot. I might have tried to wait for a better cloud though, a roundish one near the top of the frame might have balanced out the apple nicely.

These are really a joy to look at as its always been an ambition to visit the same areas which you cover so well here 4 is the star but for me I think I prefer 3 which I can only assume is Central Park thanks for posting such great shots

Thanks for the comments, and yes, David, It is Central Park, on a very cold but very clear day. And yes, it is right posting here, that's what it's all about! It's only by putting your pictures in the public eye so to speak that you can learn where you can improve. I look forward to seeing some of your shots here!
Tim, I actually took about five shots of the guy on the phone, but the horse never moved! Likewise, waiting for the clouds while I was being jostled by hordes of Apple addicts trying to get into the shop was not really possible
