More Bugs 'n' Stuff

I recently bought another set of tubes with contacts so now I can get even closer without having to reverse the lens and this way I can still control the aperture from the camera.

Some more for your perusal

1. A pin head (to demonstrate how much magnification I'm now getting with 130mm of tubes )Comment Image

No. 6 is a Booklouse (Liposcelis sp.), it's probably doing you a good turn and eating all the microscopic mould in your bathroom. They're smaller than 0.5 mm. (bet you all desperately wanted to know they eh!:blush

Thanks everyone, and Charlotte thank you for the information a tiny critter and now I know what to call it. BTW it moves very slowly and I had to look away for a few seconds to make sure the dot I had seen was actually moving.. and it was ... get the camera!!!

Some impressive magnification here, but the most pleasing image for me would have to be compound eyes, they look fantastic and the dof is spot on.
