I hope people new to the forum and the monthly competition take note that the images they submit have to be taken between now and the 31st May 2013.

Happy shooting.

So, two of the six were taken well outside the time frame. And one of them does not even use a Pentax.

A third might have been outside the time frame, but it could have been a setup error on the camera given the time it was taken, 00:07, but in natural light.

I am surprised that people actually get the subject right when they do not read the rules.

Every few days we have a look and remove any invalid entries. I've just done that now, so the competition is down to three entries.

Please read the rules everyone who enters.

Invalid entry removed, please ensure all monthly comp entries are taken in the month of the competition.

I noticed that one entrant had his first removed and then put a second in which was also removed.

I don't know what we can do to make the rules clearer, any suggestions anyone?

change the title to. "images taken THIS current month.". or "comp for image taken in JUNE 2013", or the "monthly RTFR, YLBOB comp".

The F and one B are rude words!
Lurking is shirking.!

as dougf8 says: RTFR

And maybe also insist that they provide te image with ALL EXIF intact ... I notice that on some most is there but the date is missing!

Don't some processing programs strip the exif. If the date taken is stated in the comments I usually give the benefit of the doubt, I believe most people are basically honest

Using Save For Web also removes the EXIF data. Save As keeps it intact. Sometimes I find an older image that I want to use and it was saved with the former, so then it needs care to ensure it was a Pentax image and that the correct info is inserted.

Sometimes if images have been mixed or a copy made, for example a digital copy of a print or a scan, then spurious EXIF data remains. Some of my black and white prints were copied on an early Fuji S7000 digital camera, which is misleading as they were actually shot on Pentax film cameras.

I now have an early start on the 1st June, so the results may not be posted until the 2nd. Especially if we have a rush of late entries.
