A couple of images have had to be removed. One was dated 2005 and the other was shot on an iPhone.

Arghh, Burn the Witch!!

I was wondering where mine had gone, it was actually shot on the 12th of this month, I only got the camera on the 8th.

Anyone know how to set the date on an *ist DS?

That's a shame, it unfortunately is the only thing we have to go on.

In the menus there will be a set up of date/time and it's worth having a look and setting both accurately. It's a long time since i looked at the menu on an *istDS, so that's as specific as I can get right now. Hopefully it should be fairly obvious.

if i rember correctly john it is the same as the k10 its in the setup mode in the menu under date ajust

Found it, thanks for the info, it didn't even occur to me to check when it arrived.

It gives me a good excuse to get out and about with it this weekend

On mine, if the batteries are removed - e.g. for charging - the time and date revert straight back to the factory setting, so be careful to check when you do so.
Another trick it might do is drain the batteries in a few hours and pack up altogether. This appears to be the fault of the battery terminals inside the cover plate becoming compressed by constant flexing each time you shut the cover. I put my fingernail underneath each one and prised them back outwards in sheer desperation ...... and it worked a treat. The batteries now retain their charge perfectly. It's a super camera. I hope you enjoy it.

Having found out how to set it don't forget to adjust it on Sunday when the clocks go back.
