Monochrome

I've rekindled a like to monochrome photography just recently, and here's an example:


The pseudo-IR effect was created in Photoshop using Channel Mixer.

I like it, it almost looks like its a model or miniature.

I think it works really well.

Not straight

I like the effect, John, except for the very dark area, top left, which somehow looks out of place and distracting. The image does need a slight clockwise rotation.

Really sorry John but this one doesn't work for me.

The tilt has already been mentioned, this is quite severe and also the dark area in the top left. The other thing that distracts my eye are the overhanging branches at the centre-right top of the image, these are highlighted very brightly and draw my gaze immediately to this area. I must confess that overhanging unattached branches are a no-no for me, in this shot they are more prominent because of the lighting.

I don't have a problem with the processing overall which is different and interesting but the other items I have mentioned spoil this one for me.

I really like the central part of the image.

However, I'm slightly distracted by the building on the right and the highlight and black on the right. Also, I agree that a slight rotation is needed.
