Nice portrait and nice pose. The top right hand corner is distracting is it a corner of the room???

Unlucky crop.
The top right corner shows what I expect to either be the corner of a room, or the edge of a backdrop.
The reflection in the eyes shows the photographer.
For my taste, to much retouching have also been done.

I don't really find that the photo does her justice.
Personally, if it was my daughter, I would have slapped the photographer, and asked him to redo it

What a lovely face, you can be proud of her.
Basically it's a good portrait, I like the lighting, the eye-contact and the reflection of you in her eyes. But the part of her right hand is distracting a bit for me. I could imagine a tighter crop that could emphasize her beauty face.

I don't want to put my foot in it Shaun, as I don't know who took the shots, but I do think you could have done it better. It's a bit full on and contrasty for my taste in portraits, but your daughter looks great and I'm sure she has a future in this.

I can see why you are proud of her Shaun she appears to be very photogenic

I expect we will be seeing her in some of your shots very soon Shaun - 'Dad filter' applied of course

The shot above looks pretty good to me though
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Your daughter looks at ease in this shot. The lighting is a little too cool (temperature wise) for my liking but a great pose and a lovely looking girl who I think we'll be seeing more images of in the not too distant future.
