I like Helen. C&C - i'd crop half the top background off and do some face and eye lightening
Not keen on the starfish. The blue obliterates everything else. I'd rather see it in B&W or the actual natural colours if there was any of note.
Also like the last long exposure shot . C&C - Something makes me want to crop it somehow but I'm not sure what. I think it's becuase i'm leaning towards squarer formats at the moment. I'm sure it's a fad that will pass

OMG!!!
Either my internet connection has just reduced to 100kb/s or these images have been saved at too high a quality for web use, they are still loading as I type this, hang on I'll go see if they've loaded....NOPE! and the scroll on the screen is extremely jerky.
Err, 30 seconds later and they are still loading
I think you need to learn how to save your files for web use Richard, this page took over two minutes to complete for me, not all of us have supersonic download speeds

Good stuff - nice to see you out and experimenting. You'll also notice something interesting that has happened in your second shot - check out the brake lever closest to the camera, and the gear lever on the bike furthest away. The edges look green and purple respectively, where the contrast is at its highest.
You'll deal with chromatic / lateral aberrations, purple fringing and such, a fair bit in your post-processing (there are cures for it). Some lenses suffer from it more than others.

Nice series and I agree pretty much with what Smeggy said. It's a nice shot of Helen but does need fill light. I really like the scene in the last shot, however I'm not a fan of long water exposures - I like to see the action. IMHO long exposures smooth the water too much and detract from the dramatic effect of the waves, though it seems to be ala mode at the moment.

Nice variety of shots. I rather like the starfish one actually, even though I suspect they weren't that colour originally I should also say what a great eye for a shot you have :

The starfish were that colour. All bleached blue and in a wicker basket for £3.50 each!

Nice starfish. The rest look promising from the first centimetre, but connection speeds are slow in rural France and I need to watch my kids grow up.
