Misplaced pentax browser driver

Just reformatted my computer and unable to locate the pentax browser driver, therefore unable to read CF card. Any suggestions would be welcome. I have e-mailed pentax for replacement driver.

I presume you mean the Pentax software that is provided with the camera, and that you are connecting the camera to the computer? All the software you need should be on the CD that came with the camera.

The consensus seems to be that it is better to use a card reader rather than connect the camera up to transfer data. If you do continue to have problems perhaps you could explore this option?

Have you tried the Pentax site for downloading the driver you need?

Many thanks for the advice, it is whole software CD missing. The pentax web site only offers the upgrade.
