Mirror/shutter stuck

I own a K-5 and I've had exactly the same problem as described in the other forum:

Unfortunately this happened on my recent Japan trip and had me missed lots of great photo opportunities.

Apparently the reason for this seems to be a faulty mirror servo, which would have to be replaced to resolve this fault.

What I would like to ask is: Did anyone here experience the same issue? If so, where could I send it for repair for the best repair price. Obviously my K-5 is out of warranty. It has a shutter count of almost 39k. I don't think it is that high a value anymore to justify high repair costs. Could anyone give me a figure for such a repair please? Many thanks.

Sorry to hear about the missed photos. I'd have bought a second body there and then I think if it was clear the fault was serious.

Used K5s are going really cheap now with the K-1 coming and lots of K5s, K5IIs and K3s going onto the used market.
