I like it too, simple but effective, no distractions.
Some could say about the 'rule of thirds'..... but what are rules for, if not to be broken in the name of photography.

I would be tempted to crop it at the bottom - sat about half way between the bottom and the horizon line. For me, that would give it a bit better balance. However, it stills works as it is as a minimalist image.

Have you tried flipping it so the boat moves from left to right? I like the image as is, but might be intereting to fiddle a bit more!

I think it's really striking and effective. The flag being almost fully unfurled is a nice little feature too. I find it quite evocative of the bygone era of sailing fishing boats.

Super idea. I puzzled with the bottom part for a while as the half and half horizon is slightly taken over by the detailed bottom half. A bit cropped off might help?
