Hi all!
Just wondering if any of you out there have had any experience with the Lumiquest SB-III or Ltp or other similar products.
I'd like to get a mini-softbox in this size, and I'm wondering if there are any other good alternatives. My priorities are (in order):
-easy/quick to setup
-small packed size
-durable
I think the lumiquest might be the winner, just wondering what else is out there. The Ltp looks great, but I'm afraid of it falling apart and drooping down when it's been in the sun for too long. thanks!
my personal opinion is these are useless and awkward.Hi all!

light softness is controlled by three things... size of the light source and distance from light to subject.
any soft box under 10 inches is useful only at very close range like macro work.... and can easily be replaced with a piece of white foam core board.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

See my thread about a cheap ebay softbox/diffuser here
A lot smaller than the one you're looking at, but it worked pretty well IMO. It's a bit fiddly to attach and makes the flash quite big, so I find I only use it if I'm taking plenty of flash shots but for £4? Worth every penny!

sort of the plan Would like to use it for head-shot portraits while on the road. Softbox would be held (by girlfriend, stand, or trust-able bystander) just out of the frame.any soft box under 10 inches is useful only at very close range like macro work.... and can easily be replaced with a piece of white foam core board.
But I think i'm going to try to DIY one. So i guess never-mind on the question! thanks for the responses though

I am using a couple of them with my home made mobile flash studio consisting of 2 Metz 45 CT1 with stands and wireless trigger and got very good results with them.
Kind regards
